Since the art center opened its doors in 1996 one of our most successful Wyly art center programs continues to be “Journaling With Images”, which provides technique, slide presentations and instruction in exploring the journal as an expressive form integrating both words and images. We explore the journal as “an instrument of awareness through which we can watch what we do so we can find out who we are”. Mary Morrison
The Wyly works with the Basalt Middle School 8th grade each year introducing the journal as a tool for self-expression, art investigation and documentation of the students’ life milestones.
